Dylan Shearer

Yik Yak quietly put out a limited edition pressing of Dylan Shearer's album Planted/Plans, which evokes the gentle melodies of lazy West Coast pop in the vein of Kevin Ayers or Van Dyke Parks. Things are slow and lazy and remind me of some of Beirut's songs, if Zach Condon turned down the Eastern European influences and spent more time in California listening to Kinks records. This are good tunes for a sunny Sunday.
